·
01
Screening (30 min)
- Walk me through something you built with Node.js — what was hard and how did you solve it?
- What does a good day of shipping look like for you?
- How do you work with AI tools (Cursor, Claude, agents) day to day?
02
Technical rounds
- Node.js: explain how you'd structure a backend feature end to end, focusing on depth and trade-offs.
- Python: a debugging scenario — how do you find and fix a production issue?
- Design question: sketch a system for a realistic backend problem and defend the trade-offs.
- Code review: here's a small PR — what would you flag and why?
03
Take-home task
A scoped, ~2–4 hour take-home that mirrors real work: build a small backend feature using Node.js, Python, Go. Evaluate correctness, structure, tests, and clarity of the README.
04
Score senior on
